FAQ
If your question is not here, just write it to me – the answer usually ends up on this page afterwards.
Practical
Which language do sessions take place in?
In German, Turkish or English – you choose, and we can switch mid-conversation. The written summary comes in whichever language we spoke.
Do I need a referral?
No – you can get in touch directly. If a medical assessment would make sense, I will say so in the session.
Are sessions in person or online?
Both, at the same price. Many people combine them: the first session in person, follow-ups online.
How soon can I get an appointment?
You can see the free times for the coming weeks right in the calendar and book straight away. The intro call is usually possible within a week.
What happens to what I write in the contact form?
Your message is delivered to me by email and kept in the protected area of this site so it cannot go missing. It is deleted automatically after six months at the latest, and sooner if you ask. The details are in the privacy notice.
Health insurance
Do I need a doctor’s certificate for an insurance contribution?
Yes. You need no referral for the counselling itself, but for a contribution from your insurer you need a certificate from your doctor that nutrition counselling is necessary. Whether and how much the insurer then pays is its own decision.
How I work
Will I get a meal plan?
Only if you want one. Fixed weekly plans rarely survive more than a few days. Usually we work instead on building blocks you combine as you like.
Do I have to weigh myself or count calories?
No. If you have been doing it and want to stop, that is often exactly part of the work.
I have tried a lot already. Why would this be different?
Because we start from your week rather than from a method. What works in a book often fails against a shift pattern, a commute, or a child who is hungry at six.
