DDG Diabetes Congress 2026

The 60th DDG Diabetes Congress in Berlin focused on modern therapies, prevention and digital technology – and, for me, on how all of it reaches patients’ everyday lives.

As a Diabetesberaterin DDG and nutrition scientist, I regularly undertake further training on current developments in diabetology.

At the 60th DDG Diabetes Congress in Berlin

At the 60th Diabetes Congress of the German Diabetes Society (DDG) in Berlin in 2026, the focus was in particular on modern approaches to diabetes therapy, new opportunities for prevention, digital technologies and the growing importance of holistic care.

What I find especially exciting is the question of how medical innovations can actually reach patients’ everyday lives. For me, successful diabetes treatment means not only good blood sugar levels, but also food that works in everyday life, self-management, quality of life and individual support.

That is why I am glad to take the professional exchange and the latest scientific developments into my day-to-day work in diabetes counselling and nutrition therapy.
